GreenTire Energy

“As we recover from this recession, the transition to clean energy has the potential to grow our economy and create millions of jobs – but only if we accelerate that transition. Only if we seize the moment.”
President Barack Obama

GreenTire will construct, launch and operate the first non-burning, dedicated tires-to-energy plants in the United States. At least six strategically located facilities, beginning in New Jersey, will provide clean, renewable energy using state-of-the-art gasification technology and a proprietary, multi-pollutant reduction system.

Reduce Oil and Coal Dependence
There is a growing need to reduce dependence on oil and promote energy efficiency, which opens the door for dynamic investment opportunities in a clean energy future.

Rapidly increasing fuel prices and growing environmental concerns have spurred a renewed interest in gasification as a much cleaner alternative power source. In the last decade, the technologies have become sophisticated, holding the potential for great economic profitability.

Scrap Tires: Environmental Problem and Economic Opportunity
There are 305 million scrap tires generated annually in the United States (one per person, per year). Scrap tires contribute to serious health consequences and environmental concerns from mosquito borne diseases as well highly toxic and dangerous fires. Tipping fees for accepting scrap tires bring a high revenue opportunity. Certain larger metropolitan areas provide significantly higher tipping fees.

Relatively Pollutant-free SynGas from Scrap Tires
GreenTire’s process will produce clean synthesis gas. The proprietary, multi-pollutant reduction process has a demonstrated capability to remove 95% of SOx, NOx and particulates from flue gases, to remove mercury emissions and to reduce CO2 greenhouse gases by 85% or more. Air emissions will be well below EPA, California and New Jersey (the states with the most stringent standards) air emissions limits.
